Angèle Veltmeijer: saxophone and flute.

Recent local performances with Nicky Mitchell, Aneesa Chaudhry, Zoë Lewis and Alex Eberhards ‘All Things Must Pass’; played lead alto in local big bands Studio 9 Orchestra, Sussex Jazz Orchestra and the Brighton Big Band.

Enjoys playing a wide variety of musics ranging from folk to jazz and circus to west african high- life. has performed with Ivy Benson, Orchestra Jazira, Zippo’s circus, Brian Kennedy, Annie Whitehead, Jimmy Somerville, Carol Grimes, Bessa, Alfred Karri Bannerman & Bob Graham.

Has performed and toured in Europe and Africa, playing in venues ranging from the Royal Albert Hall to many local venues.

Teaches on a regular basis and enjoys passing on the thrill of making music.
Composes and arranges. Her songs and arrangements have been played and recorded by several of the line-ups she has been associated with.
