Born in Hong Kong and raised in Gloucestershire. Moved to London and busked in King’s Road and Covent Garden before joining punk/thrash/folk band Nyah Fearties. Started playing solo gigs with violin, vocal mic and Fostex 4-track tape recorder. Released debut album Arriving and Caught Up on One Little Indian in 1990, and toured alongside artists as various as Van Morrison and Bo Diddley. Second LP Love Me was released two years later.
