Anne Clark

Contains 5 performances.

Born in Croydon to an Irish Catholic mother and a mixed Scottish/Welsh father,  Anne Clark is a spoken word artist and musician who mixes poetry with electro and avant-garde soundscapes. She released her debut album The Sitting Room (Red Flame) in 1982 and has continued to record, often in collaboration since then . She is considered as one of the pioneers in the spoken-word music genre, as well as being a highly regarded member of the synth-pop and new wave music scene across Europe where she enjoys festival-headlining status.  A more detailed biography can be found here
