Birdyak

Contains 4 performances.

Birdyak was a collaboration between Hugh Metcalfe and Bob Cobbing up until Cobbing's death in 2002.  It is discussed in Elizabeth-Jane Burnett's book: A Social Biography of Contemporary Innovative Poetry Communities.

Hugh Metcalfe is a musician and filmmaker from London and Suffolk. He is the promoter of The Klinker in London, a club which he has run in various venues since at least 1982.  He plays guitar, violin, hi-hat and gas mask and  performs in several bands including Bicycle Clip Sex, The Small Faeces, The Cross-Dressed Quartet and Fuck Off Batman.

Bob Cobbing (30 July 1920 – 29 September 2002) was a British sound, visual, concrete and performance poet who was a central figure in the British Poetry Revival.
