In her 27 years in education, Brenda’s experiences have led her into working with Primary and Secondary schools, the English National Opera, at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, children’s homes, women’s refuges, prisons, with Special Needs, the Royal National Institute for the Blind, The London Philharmonic Orchestra and both the BBC Symphony Orchestra and The BBC Concert Orchestra. She has organized numerous music events including concerts in prisons and in a township in South Africa, and has also been the keynote speaker at a number of teachers’ conferences. She delivers training for teachers of all levels for Sing Up, and continues to teach in all areas of the community. Her song The Smile Behind The Eyes was included in the Youth Music Singbook in 2004 and she has since published The Joy of Singing with Faber Music, which aims to inspire singing in all areas of the community.   Taken from http://www.fabermusic.com/composers/brenda-rattray/biography
