Born in London (1957) of Sierra Leonean heritage. Won the Minority Rights Group/MAAS Award for Poetry in 1983. Co-founded Zora Press in 1985 to 'encourage, publish and promote black writers, particularly black women writers in England.' Her collection Ripples and Jagged Edges came out in 1986.
