Martin Newell

Contains 1 collection item, 2 performances, 3 in total. Currently showing 3 in total.

At one time allegedly Britain's 'most published poet' as a result of his weekly column in The Independent. His musical past is charted in Giles Smith's book Lost in Music (Smith being his collaborator in cult '80s band The Cleaners From Venus) and in his own memoir This Little Ziggy. Based in Wivenhoe, the only bohemian place in Essex. His annual Christmas performance with near neighbours John Cooper Clarke, Luke Wright and Ross Sutherland has become a fixture of Colchester's cultural calendar.
