Acclaimed alternative band formed in 1979 from the ashes of Birmingham punk outfit The Prefects, and still going strong today. Peel favourites. Apples and Snakes had only booked frontman Robert Lloyd for this gig, so were obviously cockahoop when he turned up with the full 'Gales line-up in tow. True to form, they rocked.
