One of the most prominent figures in British performance poetry, Patience Agbabi identifies as bicultural, bisexual and a radical feminist. Themes of sexuality, politics and race feature heavily in her works, the most recent of which is Telling Tales – a 21st century rework of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. After studying English at Oxford University, she continued with higher education and is currently a Creative Writing Fellow at Oxford Brookes University.
