Tony & Stod

Contains 4 performances.

Anthony Aldridge (vln) & Cliff Stoddard (gtr). 'Gypsy swing' twosome who had previously been members of The Gutter Brothers - a band formed by a loose aggregation of Covent Garden buskers. Their sole LP as Tony & Stod, the privately pressed Swingmasters,  appeared in 1985. Tony was classically trained, and was still well known on the London busking circuit three decades later. Eoin C Macken made this short film about him in 2012.
