Valerie Mason-John is a poet and theatre maker who proudly represents the LGBT community on issues around sexuality. A proud Black lesbian whose work helps to destigmatise issues of homosexuality within the Black and Asian communities. For more information on her books around sexuality and being proud of who you are do your research! She was awarded an Honourary Doctor of Letters in 2007 from the University of East London. Malika B as she was then known is now known by her full name Malika Booker.
