Abe Gibson is a London-born poet, storyteller and caretaker with Hackney Council. He has been poet in residence at London Transport Museum and Feltham Young Offenders' Institution and was a member of the Brothaman Poetry Collective.  He published a collection of poetry, Violently Tender (2001) which was admired for its engagement with the struggle for meaning in what many have come to think of as 'Thatcher's Britain'.
