Newtown Neurotics

Left-wing Harlow punk trio, perennially championed  by Attila the Stockbroker. Initially formed in the image of The Ramones, they swiftly outgrew such modest aspirations, and their 1986 mini-LP Repercussions, in particular, remains an unsung indie masterpiece. The classic '80s line-up  consisted of Steve Drewett (gtr/vc), Colin 'Dredd' Masters (bs) and Simon Lomond (drms). Masters's ill health forced the band into retirement in 1988, although Drewett re-formed the band with a new rhythm section in 2006.
